NHS Softball
We, the coaches and players of this program, will make the best effort to become the best we are capable of becoming both on and off the field. We will use our sport to teach student athletes to compete athletically at the highest level, to achieve academic success, to develop into young ladies of character and respect, to be outstanding citizens, to be leaders of the school and to develop a family environment within our team, the school and the community.
Expectations
Softball players are expected to be at every scheduled season practice and game. Regular season activities begin in mid-February and can go through the end of May. After the regular season, we run a 3-day summer softball camp, typically the first or second week of June. Off season activities begin the second week of July with open facilities and workouts that run through the end of the 1st Quarter. During the 2nd Quarter, we transition to a weightlifting and conditioning program which continues until the start of the regular season.
Tryouts
Tryouts are held in July. Dates TBD
