Student and Family Resources

• Students are allowed up to 5 excused absences per period, per semester.
• These absences DO NOT ROLL OVER to the next semester.
• For example, if you only use 2 excused absences for the for Fall semester, you will not be able to roll the additional 3 absences to Spring semester.
• When a student accumulates a total of 5 excused absences per semester, per period, all other absences will be considered unexcused unless a doctor’s note is presented within the first 5 days of returning to school.

***NEW*** 5 Days to Excuse:

• Documentation to excuse an absence must be submitted within 5 school days of the student’s return after being absent. If this deadline is not met, the absences remain unexcused. This requirement is true for all types of absences (parent-excused, medical, or college visits).
  • Example: If I am absent on Monday, I have until the following Monday to turn in documentation to excuse my absence. An absence may be excused in one of three ways:
    • Parent-excused (can only use a parent note for the first 5 days missed);
    • Medically excused;
    • College Visit (only applicable to Juniors and Seniors and max of 4 times per school year);
    • Court notice

Early Dismissal Process

• If a student needs to be dismissed early, parents/guardians must submit an early dismissal request using the new online form below:

Early Dismissal Form

• This form is open daily from 2:47pm – 7:45am. Please make sure to submit your request during that window.
• Students may pick up their early dismissal pass in Student Services any time after 1st period on the day of dismissal.
• If the request was not submitted in a timely manner via the form, a parent must come to the school to sign out the student. Photo I.D. is required.
• No phone calls, physical notes or emails for early dismissals will be honored except in the case of an emergency with administrator approval.

PLEASE NOTE:

***NEW*** Students should be dismissed only during passing periods / between classes.

Students should not be excused from class after 2:30.

If a student has an early dismissal, they must sign out in Student Services before they leave the building.

Late Arrival Process

• If you know your student will be arriving late, make sure you provide them with a parent or medical note to present to the Front Office when they sign in.

***Important Note about Late Arrivals:

• If a student arrives late to school they will need to sign-in at the Front Office with a parent or medical note to excuse the tardy.
• If a student arrives to school and they DO NOT have a parent or medical note with them, they will receive a detention.
• Discipline procedures for unexcused tardies are as follows:
• 1st unexcused tardy violation per semester = detention is issued;
• 1st, 2nd or 3rd unexcused tardy violation within a semester = a detention is issued. However, if a student brings in an excuse note for the tardy before the assigned detention date, the detention can be dismissed (if it is the 1st, 2nd or 3rd tardy.)
• After the 3rd tardy, parent notes will no longer excuse. Detention/s must then be served.
• Should a student be late due to a bus delay, that will be excused.
• Phone calls do not excuse late arrivals.

The office will produce a Skyward generated form that you will give to the DMV to get your Learner's Permit. This form contains the information that you will need and replaces the SF1010 form that is required by the state.

Request for Compulsory Attendance Form

A Checkpoints driving course will be offered for students who are interested in obtaining a parking permit. This is the approved driver safety program for Williamson County Board of Education policy 6.311 that students must complete before obtaining a parking pass. 

The course is designed for students who have been driving for less than a year or have recently obtained their driver's license and must be attended by both the student and at least one parent / guardian. Throughout the course, a parent-teen driving agreement will be developed by each family.

HOW TO ORDER A TRANSCRIPT (2 ways)

1. If you would like to request a transcript, go to https://www.orderatranscript.com/ntc/order

. Click start and follow the simple instructions below to order your transcript.

• Follow steps:

• Order a transcript – Select START button.

• Select SENDING INSTITUTION (Nolensville High School Nolensville, TN)

• Follow instructions to enter Student Identifying Information

• Select the Receiving Institution. You may select multiple Institutions.

• Review your Transcript Order.

• Enter your Customer Information (The email address you provide will be used to provide tracking information on your transcript order.)

• Submit Order

• Make a note of the tracking number(s) to check on your transcript request and verify when the receiving institution receives the transcript. Keep in mind, it may still take the receiving institution a week or two to accept and process your transcript.

2. For scholarships or special situations that require a paper copy, simply go to the counseling center, complete the paper form (or use the link below to print a copy of the form), and attach $2.00. Please allow up to 5 business days to process.

Duplicate Diplomas

If you need a replacement high school diploma, you must complete the official request for a duplicate diploma from the state of Tennessee.
